Both the incidents took place yesterday, they said.
Anjan Srivastva (22), a student of a private University, allegedly hanged himself to death in his room of a paying guest accommodation near Chaheru, near here, police said.
Hailing originally from Jharkhand state, the deceased presently lived in the rented accommodation, they said.
The student hung himself from a ceiling fan of the room, they said.
A suicide note was also recovered from the site, in which the student had tendered apology to his parents for not measuring up to their expectations, police said.
Police said that he had also hung himself to death from a ceiling fan.
Jaswinder Kaur told the police that her husband had bouts of depression as he was without a job which drove him to take the extreme step.
Police have registered a case under relevant provisions of the law in both the cases.
