Two youths drown at Revupolavaram beach

Two youths feared to have drowned at Revupolavaram beach in the district today, police said.
Ten members of two families from Darlapudi area had gone to the beach. Two of the four members, who entered the water, were caught in a strong current, police said.
"While two of them swam back to safety, the victims were pulled inside by the water and feared to have drowned," Sub-Inspector of S Rayavaram police station S Arun Kumar said.
"The two families hail from Rajasthan and have settled at Darlapudi for livelihood. Today they came to Revupolavaram beach for fun, but their trip turned tragic," he said.

The youths, who are feared to have drowned were identified as Prem Singh (22) and Yakub Khan (21), police said adding that a search operation has been launched with the help of local fishermen.
