drowned in the Upvan lake here, officials said.
Thane Municipal Corporation's Regional Disaster Management Cell in-charge Santosh Kadam said the incident occurred this evening.
"A group of boys had gone to Upvan lake. Two youths from Kini Nagar in Wagle Estates area went inside the water for a swim and drowned," he said.
The deceased have been identified as Lokesh Naik and Yogesh Jagtap.
Their bodies have been fished out with the help of fire bridage personnel and scuba divers and sent for post mortem, he added.
Vartak Nagar police are yet to register a case in this connection.
