Mohammad Afzal of Uttar Pradesh and Mohammad Ibrahim of West Bengal, both in their mid-twenties, were arrested yesterday for their involvement in stone-pelting in Anantnag town, 55 kms from here, they said.
Massive protests rocked different parts of Kashmir Valley following last week killing of four persons in security forces firing in Ramban district over alleged desecration of holy Quran.
Police said the duo, working as labourers, were identified by police from a footage of the stone-pelting mob and was later arrested.
Hundreds of local youth were arrested since 2008 on the charges of stone-pelting and many of them were booked under Public Safety Act.
