The Uttarakhand BJP Thursday congratulated Rishikesh resident Gaurangi Chawla for bagging the second spot in the toppers' list of the CBSE class 12 examination.
"Heartiest congratulations to all students who did well in the CBSE class 12 examinations. Daughter of Rishikesh Gaurangi Chawla has done the state proud by getting the 2nd position all over the country," Pradesh BJP media head Devendra Bhasin said in a statement.
Chawla, a student of Nirmal Ashram School in Rishikesh, made it to the second position in the all-India list with a score of 498 out of 500.
Hansika Shukla of DPS Ghaziabad and Karishma Arora of SD Public School in Muzaffarnagar topped the list with an identical score of 499 out of 500.
