U'khand Guv inaugurates Centre of Baltic Studies

Uttarakhand Governor K K Paul today inaugurated the 'Centre of Baltic Studies' at Dev Sanskrit University in Haridwar, saying it will encourage the research on the cultures of Indian and Baltic nations.
"The cultures of both, India and Baltic nations, many things in common. The centre will not only promote strengthening of cultural ties but also encourage research on the cultures of both the regions to dig out several legacies lost due to colonial regime," he said.
Paul said the centre will also encourage joint publications, research opportunities and student exchange programmes between India and Baltic nations.
