The state's total plan expenditure during 2012-2013 was Rs 5,525.10 crore as against Rs 4625.12 crore in the last fiscal, showing an increase of 19.46 per cent, Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Alok Kumar Jain said.
Giving the state's financial position at the end of this fiscal, Jain said this is the highest plan expenditure of the state since its formation out of Uttar Pradesh in 2000.
The quality of plan expenditure has also shown considerable improvement as the expenditure under capital head showed an appreciable increase within the total plan expenditure, he said.
Expenditure under centrally sponsored schemes has also shown considerable increase, he said.
