Two brothers have appeared in court in Britain and denied terror charges linked to the kidnapping of journalists in Syria.
Shajul Islam, 27, is accused of working with others to "unlawfully and injuriously imprison" two photographers, Briton John Cantlie and his Dutch colleague Jeroen Oerlemans, between July 17 and July 26, 2012, in Syria.
He pleaded not guilty to unlawful imprisonment today at London's Kingston Crown Court, while his brother, Najul Islam, entered a not guilty plea to a charge of engaging in conduct in preparation of a terrorist act.
Najul Islam is accused of paying for his brother to travel to Syria with a third man, Jubayer Chowdhury, who has yet to enter a plea to a charge of unlawful imprisonment.
