Cameron's 10 Downing Street office says the two leaders will meet on Friday in Normandy, France, where both will attend events to mark the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
It said the talks would be an opportunity "to set out the importance of a dialogue between the Russian government and the new Ukrainian government" following last month's presidential election in Ukraine. Britain opposed Russia's annexation of Crimea and has accused Moscow of fomenting instability in eastern Ukraine.
