Ukd govt to provide all kind of help to local bodies: Rawat

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat today said his government will provide all kind of help to ensure more participative role of local bodies in the state's development.
Speaking at a mayors' event here, Rawat said he has also requested the Finance Commission to provide all kind of aid to elected councilors.
He also announced the setting up of a committee under state Urban Development Minister Pritam Singh Panwar to facilitate better coordination between the state government and local bodies.
