Workers of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal allegedly broke the glass of main door of Cheema's house at Race Course locality here.
However, Cheema and his family members were not in the house at the time of incident, police said.
No case has so far been registered and the police is trying to establish the identity of those involved, they said.
Cheema, who is a third time MLA from Kashipur, had reportedly said yesterday that migration from hills has increased the pressure on resources, following which, people of terai and plain regions were also being forced to move out to other areas.
