Ukraine rebel stronghold hospital shelled, one dead

One person was killed in the shelling of a hospital in the Ukraine separatist stronghold Donetsk at the same time as a peace summit was held in Minsk, authorities said.
"A shell hit hospital number 20, setting it on fire," separatist spokeswoman Yuliana Bedilo told AFP, adding that a pedestrian had been killed outside the hospital.
A woman working in the hospital was wounded and five patients evacuated, with firefighters working to put out the fire, Bedilo said.
Fighting has intensified between pro-Russian separatists in the east of Ukraine and Kiev forces ahead of the summit in the Belarussian capital bringing together Ukrainian, Russian, French and German leaders.

The summit is seeking an immediate ceasefire and possibly a peace deal to end 10 months of fighting in which at least 5,300 people have died.
