A meeting of the Election Commission of India is fixed for tomorrow in Delhi to take a final call on the polling schedule in Kinnaur keeping in view the ground reality after the heavy downpour in the region.
Official sources said the Election Commission may announce some other date for polling in the cut-off areas of Kinnaur.
According to a report submitted by the Deputy Commissioner Kinnaur, polling is not possible on June 23 at 103 out of 118 polling stations in the rain ravaged tribal Kinnaur district.
Polling parties have not yet been airlifted from Rampur in Shimla to Kaza in Spiti tribal area due to weather constraints, sources added.
