Undertrial escapes from police custody in UP; cop suspended

An undertrial managed to escape from custody while being taken to local court here, following which a police personal has been suspended, officials said today.
Munnu, who was accused of killing a youth inside a hotel in 2013, escaped from the police custody while being taken for a hearing yesterday, it said.
Superintendent of Police Neha pandey suspended personal Siyaram Yadav, who was on duty to escort Munnu, police said.
ASP Dinesh Tripathi said that teams have been constituted to search and arrest the undertrial.
