Three unidentified persons on a motorcycle tried to set ablaze Rajkumari Banjara, a resident of local Fathepur village while she was returning from a coaching institute, yesterday, Superintendent of Police Gaurav Tiwari said.
People around put off the blaze before it could engulf her. She sustained around 30 per cent injuries, he added.
Banjara was admitted to primary health centre initially, the SP said, adding, today she was shifted to district hospital.
"On suspicion we have picked up a person and are interrogating him," he said.
"We have registered a case and further investigations are on," the SP added.
