The District Magistrate's office here in a press release stated that 15 persons who were admitted in various hospitals in the district due to high fever have been tested positive for dengue.
Meanwhile, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) R P Singh Yadav stated that two persons -- Shiv Babu (35) and Usman Alsi (60) -- had died due to viral fever.
Yadav had earlier claimed that there were no death due to viral fever.
District Magistrate Roshan Jacob said that a massive cleanliness drive have been launched Bhanwar village of Ghatampur tehsil and all the medical centres have been asked to provide free treatment to people suffering the viral fever.
