UP BJP leader's death: Property of mafia don's cousin attached

The property of Manoj Yadav, cousin of mafia don D P Yadav and accused of killing a local BJP leader last year, was attached today at Laxmi Nagar area, police said.
According to SSP Anant Dev Tiwari, attachment orders were obtained from Court of Judicial Magistrate here to attach the property of Manoj at posh Laxmi Nagar locality.
Manoj is one of the four accused in the murder of a property dealer on October 23 last year.
Though three of the accused surrendered in court, Manoj had been on the run since then, police said.
50-year-old BJP leader Rajkumar alias Habbu, also a property dealer, was shot dead in his house allegedly by three unknown persons on October 23, 2014.

The deceased had allegedly reaped huge profit by reselling 30 bighas land belonging to D P Yadav at Bhoor, an urban locality here, thus irking the accused Manoj Yadav who had pressed for the cancellation of the deal, Tiwari said.
