UP continues to sizzle, Banda hottest at 46.8 deg Celsius

The mercury hovered over 40 degrees Celsius in most parts of Uttar Pradesh with Banda being the hottest place in the state at 46.8 degrees Celsius.
MeT office said that weather remained dry with heat wave conditions at isolated places over the state.
Allahabad touched 46.6 degrees Celsius, 6 degrees above normal, and capital Lucknow recorded a maximum of 44.4 degrees, 4 notches above normal.
According to MeT officials, weather is likely to remain dry tomorrow with rain or thundershowers at isolated places in the next couple of days bringing some respite to people.
