Projects worth Rs 829 crore were today launched by the UP government to mark the 40th year of foundation of Uttar Pradesh Bridges Corporation.
The projects, launched by PWD minister Shivpal Singh Yadav, include 81 bridges and buildings.
Yadav said considering the risks involved in construction works, helmets and safety belts would be provided to employees deployed at project sites.
The minister said an ex-gratia of Rs 1,000 would be given to each of the employees on the occasion.
He also announced regularisation of services of 34 employees appointed before June 29, 1991.
