A 20-year-old labourer was found hanging from the ceiling at his home here, police said on Thursday, with his family members claiming he was under stress due to lack of work during the ongoing lockdown.
The labourer, Javed, was found dead at his home in Niyazupura village on Wednesday, police said.
The family members of Javed said he was married four months ago and claimed that he took the extreme step as he was worried over not getting work due to the lockdown.
The country is under the 21-day lockdown announced by the government on March 24 to combat the coronavirus outbreak.
