Rival groups led by Rajpal Kashyap and Rafat Ali clashed this afternoon over playing of a disc jockey (DJ) during a wedding procession late last night near the latter's house in Badagaon village under Sahavar police station area, officials said.
As tempers ran high, Kashyap, husband of village head, allegedly opened fire from his licenced gun at the rival group, injuring six persons, police said, adding they were rushed to a hospital where one of them, identified as Rahees Alam, died.
