An Uttar Pradesh legislator's briefcase was stolen from her car in Chandni Chowk, the police said today.
Tanda MLA Sanju Devi was out shopping yesterday and her car was parked near the Red Fort when a man knocked on its window and told her driver that something had fallen from it.
While the driver was picking up a Rs 10 note, the BJP MLA's briefcase was snatched from the car.
The briefcase contained her Vidhan Sabha pass, Aadhaar card, cash, and other documents, the police said. A case has been registered and a probe is underway.
