UP power dept employee electrocuted

An employee of the Uttar Pradesh electricity department was electrocuted at Morna area here, police said today.
Vikram Singh (28) was electrocuted when he came in contact with a high tension wire while he was working on a line yesterday, they said.
The body has been sent for postmortem, police said.
Soon after, irate people of the area blocked Morna road to protest against the incident.
In another incident, a 28-year-old labourer was killed and another injured after a wall collapsed on them inside a steel factory at Meerut road here yesterday, police said.
The incident happened when the labourers were having lunch under a shed in the factory, they said.
The injured labourer has been shifted to a hospital in a serious condition, police said.
