Met office sources here said that chief amount of rainfall recorded in cms was: Baheri( Bareilly)-17, Bhinga (Shravasti) -11, Palliakalan-5, Jaunpur-4 and Balrampur, Ghazipur-3 each.
The Met officials forecast rain and thundershowers would occur at many places over western UP and few places over eastern part of the state in the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Central Water Commission sources said that the river Ganga was still flowing near the red mark at Fatehgarh.
Quano, which had been in spate since the past week was still flowing above the red mark at Chandradeep Ghat (Gonda) and Mukhlispur (Sant Kabirnagar).
