Two men were injured in firing as rival groups clashed over playing a song during Holi celebrations in a village under Kanth police station area here, police said.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening when one of the groups, taking part in the Holi revelry, played a song which was objected to by the other group belonging to a different community, Sadar Circle Officer Parmanand Pandey said.
They fired shots from the rooftop of a house injuring Rishi Pal (28) and Sachin (25), the CO said.
Senior police officials rushed to the village and brought the situation under control while the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital, the CO said.
Fourteen people belonging to both groups have been arrested and security has been tightened in the village due to the incident.
