UPEC engineer arrested for accepting bribe
The accused has been identified as D B Gupta. A vigilance team yesterday caught him while accepting bribe from Mukesh, manager of a factory, who wanted to raise the load of his power connection, DSP of vigilance department Rajiv Kumar Singh said.
The engineer had demanded a bribe of Rs 2 lakh from Mukesh, he said.
A case has been registered against the accused and investigation is underway, the DSP said.
