Actor Upen Patel today got eliminated from the popular reality show 'Bigg Boss 8' and became the first contestant to be evicted in the mid-week.
Upen was nominated for this week's elimination with Sonali Raut, Dimpy, Karishma Tanna, Pritam Singh and Ali Quli Mirza.
The '36 China Town' actor said the eviction came to him as a surprise.
"I was completely surprised that I got eliminated. My elimination was little different as it came very late at night. Suddenly there was an announcement from Big Boss and we all came out," Upen told PTI.
"We were made to lie down in the coffins specially created for each of us. None of us knew what is about to follow," Upen said.
The London-based model, who entered the show as one of the most sorted contestant this season, suddenly started showing a different version of himself by picking up unnecessary fights with his co-contestants, forcing them to nominate him for this week's elimination.
There are reports that more contestants will be evicted this week from the reality show after Upen's eviction as the show is heading for its finale in two days, where top five will compete with five previous 'Bigg Boss' contestants on the show's new segment 'Bigg Boss Halla Bol'.
The Colors show went on air September 21, took off with 15 celebrities from different walks of life. The house currently has Ajaz Khan, Pritam, Gautam, Puneet Issar, Karishma, Dimpy, Sonali and Ali.
