Agarwal during a meeting with state governor Lt. Gen (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma at Raj Bhawan yesterday also discussed on intellectual connectivity to the north east region and the state besides enhancement of intellectual capacity through regular interactions and seminars in the state, a statement issued by Raj Bhawan said today.
The governor requested the chairman to aid and advice the state commission and also facilitate in streamlining it in the line of UPSC.
Sharma, who is a former member of the UPSC, also urged Agarwal to initiate steps to encourage more and more candidates from north east region especially Arunachal Pradesh to go for public service examinations.
He would also attend a departmental promotion committee meeting for Indian Police Service of Arunachal Pradesh Cadre, the statement added.
