Students of the eastern region will now get an opportunity to do the US-certified Management Accountant course right in the city to improve their chances of getting into an MNC.
"Miles Professional Education will be imparting training for the course as an official partner of the Institute of Management Accountants of USA and Wiley. CMA is in great demand from MNCs in India," Miles founder Varun Jain said.
IMA, which offers US CMA, has signed an MoU with the Institute of Cost Accountants of India for mutual recognition of US & Indian CMAs. IMA today opened a Kolkata chapter.
"The CMA designation goes a long way in adding to the knowledge and credibility of accounting and finance professionals. An individual can become CMA in just 6 months by appearing for only 2 papers," Jain said.
Total cost to a student for the CMA course will be Rs 1 lakh including exam fees and only graduation is the entry criteria.
Miles also conduct Certified Public Accountant (CPA), the US equivalent for Indian Chartered Accountant but the examination has to be taken in Middle East or in US, Jain said.
Jain said as demand is high along with direct coaching they are also tying up with institutes and colleges to train their teachers.
Globsyn, Army Institute of Management , IISWBM, JD Birla are among a few who had already tied up, Jain said.
