UST Global to expand Chennai facility, to double headcount

IT services and solutions provider, UST Global, plans to expand its global delivery centre in city and double its headcount at the facility by 2016, the company said today.
".. It plans to double headcount to 3,000 in Chennai over the next two years. The company also invested in the overall infrastructure of the Centre to strengthen its service delivery capabilities for both global and Indian customers", a company statement said.
The Chennai centre of the California-based company has been serving customers across the healthcare, retail, manufacturing, banking and financial services industry and logistics industries, it said.
"The Chennai centre expansion is aligned to our strategy of expanding UST Global's capability by leveraging talent across geographies and widening our footprint and broaden services to our clients, globally and locally", UST Global, Head-Centre Operations, Sunil Balakrishnan said.

UST Global has made three acquisitions in the last six months. The company employees 10,000 people in India and has centres in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Bangalore and Gurgaon apart from Chennai.
