The height of the pole was 211 feet, and the length of the tricolour 60 feet and its width 40 feet, senior BJP leader and councillor Rajendra Tyagi said.
The Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam spent nearly Rs 23 lakh on the pole and the concrete base, he said.
Congress councillor Zakir Saifi today, however, accused Singh of insulting the national flag by hoisting it a day before the Republic Day.
