V.O.C Port Trust introduces water sports

: As part of its efforts to promote water sports in Tuticorin, V.O. Chidambaranar Port Trust has organised an introductory session-cum-water sports camp for budding and aspiring athletes.
This is the first time Tuticorin aquatic enthusiasts are being exposed to such sporting activities, a release said.
The four day workshop, which got underway yesterdy, is being conducted by a team of experts from Quest Expeditions Pvt. Ltd., Chennai.
About 30 Children in the age group of 10-17 years are being trained in swimming, sailing, kayaking, stand-up paddle board and water sports under guidance from trainers, it added.
