"V Resorts, a chain of boutique resorts in offbeat destinations of India, has recently raised close to USD 2 million (about Rs 12 crore) in pre-series A funding from Seedfund," the company said in a statement.
Over the next 5-6 months, the company is slated to add 4 more properties to its portfolio of leisure resorts and will be increasing its inventory from 80 to about 300 rooms, it added.
"The strategy is to build various choices for travel around the major metros and focus on experience based holidays," Seedfund Executive Director Shailesh Vikram Singh said.
Seedfund, an early stage venture capital fund manages a corpus of about USD 70 million across two funds. V Resorts currently manages 6 resorts in India.
