VA TECH Wabag reports over 100 pc jump in 3qtr net profits

Water treatment company VA Tech Wabag has reported over 100 per cent jump in its consolidated net profits for the third quarter ending December 31, 2013 at Rs 21.66 Crore.
The city-based company had reported consolidated net profit at Rs 21.66 crore, up by 119.8 per cent from Rs 9.85 crore registered during the same period of previous year, VA Tech Wabag said in a statement.
The consolidated total income from operations for the third quarter ending December 31, 2013 rose to Rs 589.30 crore from Rs 354 crore registered during the same period of previous year.
"I am delighted with the excellent numbers reported by the company. More so since our multi-domestic unit strategy is paying off...," VA Tech Wabag MD Rajiv Mittal said.

Five Day International Trade Fair on wood working * The 8th edition of International Trade Fair for Wood working machinery and solutions will be held in Bangalore for five days from February 21.
Claimed to be Asia's largest trade show, 'INDIAWOOD 2014', will have on display more than 1,000 working machinery, live outdoor demonstrations and factory production lines, a release said today.
The show would also display raw materials, fittings, accessories and products by 600 exhibitors from 40 countries and more than 40,000 business visitors from all over South East are expected to visit the fair.

Su-Kam commissions Solar Power Plant for EIL, Gurgaon * Su-Kam, Power back-up solutions provider has supplied, installed and commissioned a 90 kWp solar power plant for the R&D building of Engineers India Limited in Gurgaon, Haryana.
"The state of the art 90 kWp (kilowatt peak) solar photovoltaic system on the rooftop of the EIL building shall generate over 1.25 lakh units of electricity per year thereby helping EIL save over Rs 10 lakh rupees in electricity consumption annually," Su-Kam said in a statement.
"As part of our solar plan this fiscal, we are bullish in making solar power available to both the residential as well as commercial sector in Haryana," Ashish Sethi, Vice President, Solar Business, Su-Kam said in the statement.

Camlin Fine Sciences' Q3 net doubles at Rs 4.79 crore * Camlin Fine Sciences Ltd today said its net profit has more than doubled at Rs 4.79 crore for the quarter ended December 2013.
The net profit for the company stood at Rs 2.16 crore in the same period last year.
The company's net sales also increased to Rs 91.21 crore in Q3 FY14 from Rs 76.84 crore in Q3 FY 13, a statement said.
