Vaishno Devi bound pilgrim dies due to heart attack

A pilgrim who was on his way to the cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi died today after suffering a heart attack in Katra town of Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Chana Ram, 51, a resident of Bathinda in Punjab, who was on his way to the cave shrine fell unconscious and was rushed to the dispensary where doctors declared him brought dead.
He died due to heart attack, a police officer said quoting the doctors.
The body has been shifted to the community health centre in Katra from where it would be handed over to the relatives after conducting legal and medical formalities, he said.
