Vaughan was picked by the Commanders in the pre-auction bid for the legends and was part of the strategising unit for the actor Sohail Khan co-owned team during the auction purchases as well. He will also act as team director of the Capricorn Commanders.
Vaughan will be joined by Usman Afzaal, former England international, as assistant coach for the tournament which will take place from January 28 to February 13 at the Dubai and Sharjah Cricket Stadiums.
Capricorn Commanders also boasts of two-time World Cup winner Andrew Symonds, Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, former England skipper Paul Collingwood, Sri Lanka's Chamara Silva and South Africa's Ashwell Prince among others.
