VE Commercial Vehicles sales rise 11.6% in September

Company had sold 2,847 units in the same month last year

Auto maker VE Commercial Vehicles today reported 11.6% growth in sales of its Eicher branded products at 3,176 units in September.

The company, which is a 50:50 joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, had sold 2,847 units in the same month last year.

Domestic sales registered an increase of 17.8% to 2,781 units in September this year as against 2,361 units in the same month year ago, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) said in a statement.

However, exports of Eicher trucks and buses declined 18.7% to 395 units last month as against 486 units in September 2013, it added.
