A super-legislative body loyal to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro today stripped immunity from two opposition lawmakers accused of being behind a weekend drone "assassination" attack on the leader.

The measure against Julio Borges, an exiled deputy who used to be the speaker of the opposition-controlled legislature, and Juan Requesens, arrested overnight, was "approved unanimously," said the head of the Constituent Assembly, Diosdado Cabello.
