London-based Modi yesterday tweeted a letter, which he claims to have written to ICC CEO Dave Richardson in June 2013, passing on "some information" regarding the matter.
Verma said the ICC should make a clarification on the issue to save its "integrity and credibility".
"Yesterday, Mr Lalit Modi mail of 2013...Said that he wrote to you about the involvement of 3 players...In illegal things...This is a very serious charge...Entire cricket world wanted your clarification on Mr. Modi letter," Verma said in his letter addressed to ICC CEO Richardson.
