VHP will take out a Chaurasi Kosi Parikrama Yatra from April 22 and mobilise people for construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya, it announced today.
Throwing a challenge to the Akhilesh Yadav government just before the 2017 assembly elections, VHP's regional organising secretary Ambreesh Singh said models of Ram temples will be constructed in every village of Uttar Pradesh and the march will cover about two dozen districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh.
According to VHP spokesman Sharad Sharma, the Shri Ram Maha Utsav from April 8-19 would be observed by establishing 1.25 lakh idols of Lord Ram and this festival would be on the lines of Durga Puja celebrations.
Singh said Chaurasi Kosi Parikrama is part of Hindu culture and tradition and this time it would be conducted on large scale.
