Vice Admiral Sunil Lamba inaugurates CORE programme in Goa

The Combined Operational and Review Evaluation (CORE) programme was inaugurated by Vice Admiral Sunil Lamba, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Naval Command, today at the Naval War College, Goa.
"The programme is being attended by Flag Officers of the three services and is being conducted from September 14 to September 19," a press note released here stated.
During the programme, Flag Officers will review national and regional security situations, examine emerging trends in geo-politics and update themselves on latest developments in land, space, naval, air strategy as well as defence and space technology, the press note stated.
Senior serving officers from the government, defence services, eminent economists and other functionaries are expected to interact with participants over the week.

The programme also includes a round table discussion conducted by United Services Institute, New Delhi, in which several former ambassadors, high commissioners and retired defence officers are expected to participate.
"The CORE programme is conducted on a rotational basis between the three services, and this year, it is being held at the Naval War College, Goa.
