The 43-year-old singer-turned-designer says she has the ability to "smile" at her previous cringe-worthy style, reports HELLO! magazine.
"I look back at the things I've worn in the past and it makes me smile. It's made me who I am now and part of growing up is trying new things. Some things work, some things don't," says Beckham.
The former Spice Girls singer says she and her bandmates, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell, used to put so much makeup that they resembled "men in drag".
"I look back at the pictures and I'm like, 'Woah!' That was a lot of make-up, we took the layering of make-up to a whole new level," she says.
