Vidarbha qualify for quarters topping Group C

Vidarbha advanced to the quarterfinals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy as the top team from Group C after they edged Maharashtra in a low-scoring match here today.
Vidarbha, opting to bowl, dismissed Maharashtra for 183 with Umesh Yadav (3/24) and Akshay Karnewar (4/43) doing the maximum damage.
They chased down the target in 47 overs in what was a 49 over a side contest. Ganesh Satish top scored for Vidarbha with 71 and opener Jitesh Sharma scored 39.
Brief scores: Maharashtra 184 all out in 48.2 overs (Ankit Bawne 48; Akshay Karnewar 4/43, Umesh Yadav 3/24).
Vidarbha 185/6 in 47 overs (Ganesh Satish 71 not out; S Kazi 3/45).
