Vidarbha reels under heat wave; Wardha hottest at 47.5 deg C

For the second day in succession, Nagpur city today recorded a maximum temperature of 47 degree Celsius as the heat wave in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra continued.
The neighbouring Wardha district was the hottest in the region at 47.5 degree Celsius, according to the Regional Meteorological Centre here.
Maximum temperatures recorded in Akola is 44.9, Amravati 45, Bramhapuri 45.7, Chandrapur 46.2 and Yavatmal 45, it said.
