Village head's husband shot dead in UP

Some motorcycle-borne youths shot dead the husband of Dharupur village head in Lalganj area here, police said.
Mohd Shabbir (50), husband of village head, Sakina, was shot dead when he was having tea at a shop here, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Dinesh Pratap Singh said.
Police is trying to nab the assailants.
Police said the incident is believed to be a fallout of election-related enmity as Panchyat polls are slated for later this year.
