Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal Thursday claimed that the film 'Village Rockstars', India's official Oscar entry for 2019, is a testimony of biggest achievement the state's artistic creation.
Inaugurating the 2nd Guwahati International Film Festival here, Sonowal said he has watched the film and liked it very much.
"It does not have big budget. It has natural appearance, natural light. In fact, it's pure nature in the film," he added.
"Village Rockstars is the biggest achievement of artistic talent of people of Assam. That's the potential of Assam," the chief minister said.
The film showcased the beautiful landscape of the Brahmaputra and Barak valleys.
