VIMS outpatient services to start from Apr 11

Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas today said the outpatient services at Visakha Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) will start from April 11.
Addressing a press conference here, the minister said, "We had so far missed many deadlines. But this time, we would make the VIMS operational without any delay from April 11."
VIMS would be a university super-speciality hospital under the ambit of NTR Health University, Vijayawada, he said.
"After several discussions, we finally came to the conclusion that the VIMS would best serve its purpose under the NTR Health University as the latter enjoys good financial health," said Srinivas.

The minister also said on this occasion that authorities would soon introduce radio frequency bracelets for infants to prevent theft of babies from the government hospitals.
