Virbhadra announces setting up of Inspectorate of Education

The regular inspection of schools, including the surprise inspections, which had become a thing of past would be revived in Himachal Pradesh and an 'Inspectorate' would be set up in Education department to strengthen theinspection wing.
"Inspectorate of Education, a separate wing within the department would be set up for regular inspection of schools in the state to ensure that all schools teach Mathematics, English and Hindi from class I, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said today while addressing a public meeting at Baddi in Soland district.
The Inspectorate of Education would also conduct surprise inspections of schools to keep a vigil on teachers playing truant," he said.

Singh reiterated his statement that former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar wasa man of principles in sharp contrastto P K Dhumal.
Singh alleged that after Dhumal failed to dethrone him and with help of a central BJP leader, they were now trying pin him down by misusingthe central investigating agencies.
"They are pressuring the central investigating agencies to probe the assets ofmy family membersand trying to defame me," he alleged.

He said that as far as the development in Baddi- Barotiwala was concerned, works worthRs 45 crore were in progress.
The Chief Minister said all kinds permissions like change of land use andplanning permissions had been made online for prompt disposal.

Himachal Pradesh Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihotri alleged that BJP was playing cheap politics to defame Virbhadra Singh and his family but they would not succeed in their motives.
He said that it was very unfortunate that on the day ofthe marriage of Virbhadra's daughter, the NDA government conducted the CBIraids at his residence and on the occasion of Holi the EnforcementDirectorate(ED), got the property ofhis family attached in New Delhi, which wasa "cheap" move of Central leaders of the BJP.
