Virbhadra criticises BJP walkout, terms it "permanent habit"

Himachal Chief minister Virbhadra Singh today criticised the BJP for obstructing the functioning of the state Assembly and staging a walkout and said that it has become party's "permanent habit".
Talking to media persons, Singh accused the BJP members of "making a specific strategy" before the winter session of the Assembly at Dharamsala to ensure that the house did not run smoothly.
The proceedings of the House will continue whether the BJP "cooperated or not", he said, adding that he had not done anything wrong and the matters were pending in the courts.
He said that it was a conspiracy hatched by the former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and his son Anurag Thakur.

"I have faced the law before and always come out clean", Singh said.
When his attention was drawn to the remarks of the Speaker that the Tapovan complex of the Assembly at Dharamsala remains unutilized for most part of the year, Singh clarified that the activities at the Dharamsala complex have to increased to ensure that it did not remain underutilized.

On the other hand, leader of the opposition, P K Dhumal, who led the walkout said that the BJP would continue the protest.
"The BJP MLAs have decided to continue their protests within and outside the house during the session to seek Chief Minister's resignation, who was facing serious corruption charges.

"We will not attend the proceedings if the ruling party and Speaker did not agree for the debate," Dhumal said.
