Nanavati, who is also Senior VICE president of Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has been appointed Ted Vice Chairman of FINA's Swimming committee, a release issued by Swimming Federation of India (SFI) said.
FINA's technical Swimming Congress took place recently in Budapest, where Nanavati was honoured for his dedication and commitment to the sport, it said.
"It is a matter of pride for me as an Indian would carry such a big responsibility in FINA," Nanavati told PTI.
